Important: Travel guidance for Student Visa holders (Easter break)
As the Easter break approaches, we strongly advise all students holding a Student visa to carefully consider any plans to travel outside the UK.
Ongoing disruption to international travel in the Middle East means there is a significant risk that you may be unable to return to the UK as planned. Please be aware that failing to return in time for your studies may result in breaching the conditions of your visa, as there are strict limits on time spent outside the UK, in person attendance requirements and remote study is not permitted.
Before making any travel arrangements, you must:
- Ensure you have a realistic and reliable return plan
- Consider potential disruptions and delays to your journey
- Be aware that the University cannot guarantee flexibility if you are unable to return on time
- Contact the Student Visa Compliance and Advice team on visa-enquiries@wlv.ac.uk if you are unable to return to the UK
If you choose to travel, you do so at your own risk, and you must keep the University informed of any issues affecting your return.
If you are currently overseas or become affected by travel disruption, you must contact the Student Visa Compliance and Advice Team immediately at visa-enquiries@wlv.ac.uk so we can advise you on your individual circumstances.
If your absence becomes extended, you may be required to take a leave of absence, which could have implications for your visa and studies. It is important that you keep the University updated about your situation by contacting visa-enquiries@wlv.ac.uk.
We strongly recommend that you prioritise your ability to remain compliant with your visa conditions and studies when making travel decisions. Thank you for your cooperation - we hope you have a wonderful Easter break.
